Would a 1982 T-TYpe have the same crankshaft as the 84-87 turbo regals? Also would the bumpers on this car have aluminum supports or steel? I'm assuming the diff would be a 7.5?

thanks

The 82 GN came with either a 4.1 or a turbo 231, both of which use the same crank as all of the turbo Buicks (rolled fillets). The 8.5" rear didn't come out in the Regal body until 84 but I don't know about other lines. My 82 has steel bumper supports and from what I can tell they're stock.:(

From what I have seen only the 82 GN/SC used the aluminum bumper supports for some reason. I had a 81 SC with steel supports. And I suspect the 81-82 SC with the optional performance package(dual exhaust,3.23 gears) had the aluminum ones as well.
