Up for sale is the 1987 Buick Grand National VIN# 1G4GJ117XHP458883 that I purchased Sept 20th of last year. The only reason this vehicle is up for sale is because my wife got pregnant Oct 9th (oops) and we just found out that it is going to be twin boys and I need to get her a bigger car. That being said the GN has 59,xxx miles on it. It had 58k when I bought it and drove it up from Tennessee, where it spent its entire life, and the TN title reflected this. The new Indiana title will read exempt since I did not have a written affidavid from the seller at the time I registered the car. The GN has tons of mods and had a repaint in 2001. When I purchased the car I put on a new fuel filter, changed the oil, cleaned the air filter, changed the plugs, installed a set of Russ Merrit MSD 8.8 wires, and had an updated TT chip burned just to make sure it was in perfect running order. Here is a list of the mods currently on the car:
PTE-44 turbo, RJC boost controller, Chargedair V4 intercooler, Mototron 60# injectors, 3.5” LS1 MAF sensor/ translator version 6.21, Scanmaster 2.1, Arizona GN “hi flow” iron ported heads, T&D 1.6 roller rockers, Champion aluminum tall valve covers with Buick and Turbo 6 emblems, Arizona GN port matched lower intake manifold, RJC power plate, Comp Cams 212/206 cam, Comp Cams hydraulic lifters, Comp Cams billet double roller timing set, Melling cam button CB100, chromoly pushrods, TT chip, SMC alky injection, Postons SS driver side header, Terry Houston 3” downpipe w/ cutout, Hooker super comp exhaust, Walbro 307 pump, fuel pump hotwire kit, Accufab billet adj fuel pressure regulator, Jegs fuel pressure gauge, 160* T stat, high efficiency radiator, cold air kit with front scoop, 9” K&N cone, solid MAF pipe, chrome up pipe, AC Delco CR43TS plugs, Heavy duty intercooler hoses/clamps, Autometer Z series boost gauge in dual A pillar pod, Street Brawler torque converter 2600 stall 12” lockup, TCI valve body shift kit, trans was rebuilt with TCI heavy duty rebuild kit, dual rear airbags, DC Tech polished turbo heat shield, Pioneer CD player w/ XM radio, mint condition GN wheels (purchased these last year tires are like new and no wheel weights have ever been mounted on front lip), Viper alarm, and Im sure there is more
Here are the extra parts that I have purchased and not had time to install:
Autometer Z series oil pressure and water temp gauges, Lotek center console pod (painted to match interior), Caspers knock gauge, extra TT chip, extra Extender chip, HD wastegate actuator, Autometer 5” monster tach, Hotchkis front swaybar, front frame braces, Weld Draglites front and rear with tires (fronts good rears bald), extra set of GN wheels/tires, set of extra center caps, extra floormants w/ GN logos, extra computer, extra coil pack, extra up pipe, and once again I am sure there is other stuff that I have forgotten but EVERYTHING goes with the car.
The GN is in great shape but does need a little attention in these areas: driver side window switch came through upholstery, glove box wont open (just happened today), small oil leak (I think it’s the oil pan possibly rear main), some interior pieces were taken off by previous owner and not put back correctly and just need adjusted, powermaster brakes act up every now and then, rear plastic bumper pieces are cracked, carpet is worn on driver side, and once again I am sure there are some things I am forgetting but with a little bit of work this car would be easily a 9+ out of 10.
I am asking 15k firm for the GN which is what I have into it from buying the car and all the aftermarket parts that I have purchased. I can work with someone if they don’t want the extra parts or the OE wheels I can drop the price some. This really is a beautiful GN and my intentions were to fix the little things and take it to cruises/car shows and the drag strip every once in awhile. With the new TT chip I have had the car to 22psi with little to no knock and it screamed. I bought the HD wastegate actuator and planned on installing it this spring so I could turn the boost up more and really see what she could do but unfortunately with twins on the way and my Ford Lightning in the garage also one of the vehicles has to go. Along with the sale of this car I am throwing in EVERYTHING that I have GN related which includes books, diecasts, models, flag, sticker etc etc. since I will no longer need it.
