This may sound a little non-technical, so forgive me here, I would like all of your opinion on this car my brother just bought...it's a 1987 Buick Regal Limited, runs great, interior light blue with the complete dash assembly all grey just like the Grand National. All interior trim front to back is 100% perfect. Bought from the original owner. All the original owner's manuals stuff, the complete set...in the glove box. Including the ASC Sunroof information book. Interior excellent, sunroof doesn't work, engine is the big V8 with four barrel carb, non turbo. All silver with landou top, outside side lights. Everything is there in great shape, paint excellent. Power seats, antenna, power trunk, power windows, steering, brakes, etc. Only the air doesn't work. Car has 69,000 miles on it. My question, was it a good deal when he paid $1250 for it? He wanted this Regal because he misses our late Dad's '87 Grand National (which I now lovingly own). Car is really comfortable. I have talked him into getting an '86 GN grill, painted the headlight bezels satin black and did the tail light trim in satin black also. Since then, he says everybody tries to race him thinking it's a Regal Turbo, which it isn't.
So, if you don't mind, did he get a good deal on this? I would love to hear from all here so I can voice it to my brother. Thanks kindly, guys.

Yup, it's a $2K-$3K car up here in New England.

Fix the minor problems including the A/C and it should be a reliable driver.

Everyone with a factory service manual should be able to answer any questions about it since the pages for the V8 N/A cars are in the stack of paper you get.

Wish I could find a good loaded non-rusty Limited for under $1,500.
