Our Beloved Ford 500 Is going away (the car I learned to drive in) and we are going to get a new car. We looked at a nissan maxima, 1995 with 210K miles with a 3.0L vq30de engine in it... is it a good car? Heard that it accelerates VERY fast and has a LOT of torque.

If we do get it... Im puttin some rims on it:cool:

And then the Boom Box and then the Tint and then the Wing and then the Fart Can and then the Stickers.

J/K if the car was and is maintained, it should last until 250K.
Just remember, it's already at 210K.

I get your point... in my family we like to drive in style. It has factory tint, but it needs beats and a Factory spoiler, no jdm POS exhaust or decals.

I have a 98 as a DD it has been nothing but dependable they do have issues with rear calipers freezing and needing replacement also saw a friends high milage one with a bad crank pully. Got mine with 30k on it and it has 123k on it now have done oil changes brakes and tires that's it o yea plugs and belts and one coil that went bad

When I sold my 89 Maxima station wagon it had 188k on it and still running fine. You will need to go all over it to make sure it's OK for sure. For good info on Maximas go to Maxima Forums . There are some knowlegable guys there as well as dumb ricer kids but you can drill down in the searchs according to each generation.

Just sold my '98 this week. Good car. Ya, brakes have to be done more often. One thing I like about the engine is the timing chain. No belt.

Yea your not kidding on that chain deal i had an 87 Maxima that had 198k on it when i got rid of it i was sick of doing belts on that thing and i baught it with 87k on it what a great car

One of my ex's had one. Real nice car. Was pretty well loaded. Had a nice small system in it, but it was pretty quick, build quality was really pretty good. She only had a few minor issues with it, until some drunk ran a light and totaled the back end of it. The motors are good. My dad had a 87 Stanza hit 330000, yeah thats 330k before the engine finally gave up. Considering the way he takes care of his cars, (or rather doesn't take care of them), I wouldn't have been surprised to see it go 500k easy.
