You might try searching for info., on going with the 02 F Body front brakes, they're alot better. I just went from the 1LE to them, and the difference is amazing, IMO.

was it a difficult swap..can i just rape a 02 ta and bolt the parts right on my 89?? what parts do i need to get...

No, and no.
It's more then a just bolt-on.
Here's a thread to start with, the none LE1 3rd gens use the same dimensions for the caliper mounting as the GNs. The only difference would be is that you're using a strut, instead of a spindle.
Follow this thread and where it links to for all the parts, and things you need to do. Some light machining is necessay.
