Hey guys-

Lately my trans has been acting strange. It seems like it constantly wants to be in overdrive, even when accelerating from a stop. We decided the torque converter lock up solenoid (can't remember what its called) was to blame, and after unplugging that it seemed to shift much better.

A new problem developed at the track this week. The 2-3 shift is very sloppy.. it flares, shifts, then seems to down shift back to 2nd then back into 3rd. Not sure if this problem is related to the other.. the solenoid has not been fixed yet but it didn't seem to matter if it was plugged in or not, the problem was the same each run.

I'm hoping this is all related to the bad solenoid and will be an easy fix. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Heather

Sux, but know that the 2-3 is usually what goes on the 2004r.

By discon the L/U sol you men the plug on the side of the case?

have you dropped the pan and looked in it?
How does the fluid look?

How many miles?
What et does it run?

Yes, the plug on the side of the case.

Have not dropped the pan yet. 95,000 miles. 11.8 et's. Trans is original except for a shift kit.
