Lots more info would help. Is this a higher mileage stocker or a recent rebuild. What mods if any were done to the transmission? What mods are on your car? What year model is your car? etc.

do you have delayed reverse engagement also when cold?if the trans has been in the car a while i would tend to lean towards a hard lip seal in the hi drum or poor oil viscosity when cold due to contaminated trans oil .mushy 2/3 shifts at part throttle are inherent in the design of this transbut a slip when cold is not .also the valve body bolts may be lose in the area around the manual valve. i would drop the pan and retorque the valvebody and road test .a good shift kit .will firm up part throttle in aproperly working trans.dual feeding the direct clutch will also assure proper third clutch accumulation at all throttle angles .this triples third gear apply oil compensating for what may be lost between the shift valve and clutch drum .chris www.ckperformance.com

my reverse is fine, no delay ,the only ploblem is 2/3 shift is like a flare,while cruising you feel the rpm go up a notch ,i thinking a servo ploblem? 2/3 accumulator,leaking seal? i change the fliud i used hyd,synt/ before i had type f , should i change the fluid again?
install a [presure gage on the line tap above the linkage ande observe the pressure drop during the 2/3 shift .aqnything more than a 20 psi drop indicates aslow build up of pressure or a leak in the circuit .a10 lb drop is normal but it must return to the same pressure it did the second before the shift occuired and should arrive there slightly before the end of the gear change let me know what happens philly huh 61st passyunk 88ssw/ny plates 9.50s i came home w/some money .my products arew sold at benpillas ion frankfort and street road in feasterville not a plug front st aramingo ave hahaha do you shop there
