DIS??
The 2 step could be used without a t-brake as long as the foot brake could hold the car on the start line at the rpm[and boost]the box is set at...
As long as the rev limit is above the 2 step setting, it would not make any difference to what it was set...If you have a rev limit on your chip, you would have to be below that value to make the DIS the primary limiter..I would set the chip limit up above the expected rpm range of the engine and use the DIS limiter. It's easily adjusted and is a random drop of cylinders, not a total cutoff like the chip.
Most line locs have the hot side interrupted and the ground constant. I would use a relay that takes the DIS 2 step wire,[light blue] to ground when the relay closes. I would trigger the relay off of the same side of the line loc sw. that activates the loc. That way, the positive spike can't backfeed the DIS line. HOWEVER!! IF you are going to do a burnout, and want the rpm to exceed the 2 step value, you will have to install a toggle sw. in the feed to the relay, in order to disable the 2 step feature.
Therefore: when you hit the line loc, the interrupt is open, the rpm goes to whatever???

When you stage, you will have to close the interrupt sw, hit the line loc button, mash the pedal. Engine will chatter at the set rpm...
EASY WAY!! Put a normally open button on the console to ground the DIS and be done w/ it..
