I think your correct!
Post#1 says it dropped coming to a stop.

So could this be something else? I would think if you would uncover the pickup it would go to 0.
10s of thousands of 3.8 have no baffled oil pan.and normally don’t uncover the pickup.
I think it’s time Michael cut his oil filter apart.

If I got on the brakes hard, it might goto zero.

I am not going to try to hurt the engine !

The pan and pick up were on the engine when I got it, so when I do drop the pan I will measure it as suggested.
 
If you can go to zero psi breaking a full weight street car, you've got issues other than baffling. I'm curious about your pan to pickup clearance.
