OK,
I understand a 200-4R has an exhausting checkball type governor.

What exactly is different about this than a conventional GM style governor?

Obviously it works on a different pricncipal, any good explanations?

Next,
The GN has a higher WOT shift point than a generic 200, but just a governor change will not make a generic trans a GN WOT shift trans, so obviously the VB calibration has more effect on the WOT shift points.
Any specific valve/valves have more effect on the WOT shifts than others?

I've seen it mentrioned that drilling a small hole in the gov cover raises WOT rpm shifts.

Are there any mods to make a dramatic increase or decrease in the shift rpm?
Grinding weights, altering springs, but anything else that has to be done?

Reason i ask is that I have a GN core and a couple of generics.

I plan to use the GN core behind my BBC with about a 5800 rpm shift point. So the GN core should be close with minimal mods.

However on my dad's car with a SBC I will need about a 6000 or little more shift point. It will be using a generic trans so obvioulsy more changes will need to be made.
