Hello all, Im a follower but first time post to turbo buick. Ive rebuilt my own 200 4r with CK's book and parts. Its installed in my 1970 Olds cutlass S with 455. Ive done plenty of reading on adjusting the tv cable and I dont have any questions there. My question is about the tv valve itself. A local shop told me the tv valve must be completely depressed and flush with the bushing. He also said it must be fully extended at the idle or released position. Are these accurate? If I set the tv cable to idle I cant get the tv valve to flush with the bushing. If I set the valve to max then the valve isnt fully released. It would be preloaded. He also said to get rid of cable I have. Im using the cable Ck sent. Its not the clickable stock type. Once I can get this close I can button it up, add fluid, and call CK to adjust it and road test. Also, when my helper pulls the tv cable all the way out the tv valve in not flush with the bushing. I can push the linkage a little but its not felt in the cable, its all in the lever but the valve is still sticking out. Ill get some pics up if needed, Thanks for any and all help.
