The '04 Dakota stays the same. For '04 the DURANGO is all new.

Oh please oh please make it Ram based and offer the Diesel motor oh please oh please oh please.....

I saw a masked next-gen (2005?) Dakota in Automotive News last week; 2004 looks about the same as current. The article said it was going to be closer to the size of the Ram 1500 so I guess the intent is to compete with the Nissan Titan class. The 4.7 V8 is the best engine of the pack; my Jeep has one and it's pretty doggone quick for a grocery getter. 21 mpg on the highway too, 17 around town.

Just visited a Dodge dealership plus reviewed Automotive News. The Dakota stays the same. But the Darango in 25% larger than the previous year, plus reinforced frame (same type as Ram trucks) and a new Hemi option (coupled with a new 5 speed automatic) for the Darango R/T. Also, dealer incentives are that the R/T will sell for the same price as the 2003 R/T.

IN the 3 months I been at my new shop, I have done 3 rears in them. All powertech V8/auto's and all posi's. Something to think about.....

Last one was grenaded pretty good.

Just bought my new Ram 1500 HEMI and I love it. Best driving truck I have been in. We'll see how it does on the road tomorrow, going to Texas for a while.

I saw the new durango at one of the plants here. Man is that thing UGLY.

I'd take ugly if it was yukon/suburban sized and had a Deisel option. I'd even take Two Bagger, Butt Ugly and Fugly.
