I've been looking at transmission options for a RX-3 drag setup. The 200R4 has great ratios, an OD, and heavy duty construction.

Here are my questions:

HIGH stall. Will I be able to find a converter that will allow me to launch at 5500+ RPMs? Peak torque on this engine will happen around 7800-8100 RPMs.

Torque: This is of little concern, because I know you Buick guys make amazing torque. It will only have to handle around 550 RWTQ. Are there any reliability issues with this?

Horsepower: In other words, REVS. Will it be able to perform well at 9-9500 RPMs?

Making it fit: Is there any place you can refer me to, that fabricate a custom bell-housing and input shaft, to fit my engine?

The numbers on this transmission are perfect. Assuming 26.5" slick, 9500 RPM redline, and a 4.30 Final:

1st = 63.59 MPH
2nd = 110.98 MPH
3rd = 174.2 MPH
OD = 2191 RPM @ 60 MPH, 2922 RPM @ 80 MPH

Thanks for any help

1. This won't be for awhile. Big project.

2. I need a rough estimate of cost. Be conservative. I'd rather you estimate more, and end up paying less. If it's too expensive I will go with a quality dog box.

Thanks.
