Trans was built as a spare. As I now have several more to build and a car that doesn't run, I thought I'd sell it to help fund parts I need. Wideband set-up compatible with Gen II, BMR or H&R rear swaybar considered for partial trades. Trans includes; hand trued pump face, oil return enlarged, new pump bushing (staked), new vanes and hardened rings, hardened stator and .500 boost valve, Teflon seals on input shaft, hardened forward drum dual fed, new thrust washers throughout with GM upgrade Torrington bearing in rear, extra spring in lo/reverse piston, oversized steels used for tighter race clearances on all clutch packs, re-designed billet servo with hardened steel insert and re-shaped piston face for smoother operation and longevity, carbon fiber band, Stage Right style trans brake and BQ valve body recalibrated with Level 10 kit. Would like $1100 PLUS shipping, negotiable with right trades. Thanks, John.

Bump for John... John is a straight shooter and honest person. Have comfort in anything you may purchase from him. He will advise you of anything possibly wrong and all info he is able to tell about a product.

Good luck John for a reasonably priced deal.

Mike

Not used since rebuild!

No, this particular one has not been used since rebuild. The last two 2004Rs I've built are both currently working perfectly; one in my own 87' GN and one in a friend of mines 49' GMC pickup. I've been an ASE master since 1993 and have built many transmissions; GM, Ford and Chrysler. Building trannys is how I paid my way through college and although I don't do it for a living anymore, I still build occasionally for friends and family and once in awhile for profit. I built the 400 in asloan5 86' GN (friend) that has made more than a few 10.2-10.3 passes with no problems. Thanks, John.

2004r

Not sure on the torque handling ability, I do not have a dyno and my car is not currently running. Should have my car back on the street within the next few weeks and it should be capable of high 10s....we'll see! I have the same build in my own car that has only seen 13.20s in the 1320. From my research it should do well in the high tens without further modification... I'll let you know, I will be testing it at Gaineville raceway in the very near future. Thanks for the interest, John.:cool::cool:
