2004r No 4th or reverse.

Greetings all. Thought tranny was totally dumping, suddenly lost 4th and reverse. But then for a short stinit today on highway, I had 4th untill I stopped then it was gone again. Reverse still no werky. Any ideas? Any short term solutions? Can't afford total rebuild right now, just need to last alittle while longer.

Trans clutches seem to be solid. Again, no reverse or 4th. Will get both every now and then while testing. Someone please help. 4th gear solenoid maybe?

Still need help.

Trans does seem to be strong. Just no 4th & reverse. Trans is all stock 86 SS. Cannot overhaul till Yukon gets out of body shop. (But dad I really was'nt going very fast in the rain)

Found problem

I went ahead and tore into it. Sprag is not catching causing no lock on sun shell. Well I guess the performance rebuild is underway. I need to brush up on what this trans needs to live behind the motor I am about to drop in. All aluminum 437ci twin turbo. Any body have suggestions for the overdrive planet and ring gear?

get my 200 page 2004r manual so you can build it right.we also have all the parts and tech to get your trans working properly.id be happy to see our parts and knowledge be applied to your twin turbo small block project.im currently working on a 400 cid twin with 2 51 turbos.if you think 231 cubes is fun youd **** your pants for sure with over 400.
