This Monte SS CZ (model) trans has all my usual parts. 555 and 405 boost valves, pump ring kit, Alto clutches (extra throughout) and wide Red band with our shift calibration.(shift kit)
This unit is a lock up with a big servo, and transbrake. The input shaft and drum are hardened. This trans will have nice firm shifts, and shift at nearly 5500 at WOT. Perfect for a ported heads and cam car.
Biggest difference between this and the BRF is a later WOT upshift, 5250 vs 5500, and a slightly earlier third gear while cruising. (most people never notice) With correct wiring for a GN, with the correct black plug.
This transmission is built to run into the 10`s with the right converter.
Price on this unit is $1450 + $150 shipping in the U.S. (continental 48) This price includes the core charge.

This transmission is built to be run with a 10 inch or similar hi-po converter. (9/11, Vig, etc)
You can also search the trans forum for info on the CZ valvebodies.

You can view feedback in that forum on this board.

Trans

Bump for an awesome tranny. I have one in my car & can't seem to wear it out. Over 250 passes so far this year-guess you could say I like drag racing.

So when you say it needs a 10" or 9" converter, does this mean something like a stock 12" converter would mess the transmession up? Also, do you build them without a brake? The brake is a bit over kill for my needs.

Thanks
Ray

you will love the brake, trust me. Brian is one of the best guys I have ever dealt with! I would never think twice about buying from him again, when I get my new motor im probably getting another trans from him! You will not be disappointed...

Ray,
With a 12in converter the shifts will be very firm. Without a billet drum in the trans it may/will not last long with the aggressive shift of the trans.
We could install another valvebody and remove the brake if desired. Once you try one, you will be glad it is there! They are awesome. ;-)
I recommend those converters as they absorb some of the shock and allow the drum to live.
Thanks, Brian

Hey thanks Brain

The reason I asked about the converter size was more for the interrest of Science. My car has a 9" PTS Xtreme 3000 stall converter with around 600 miles on it. The transmession is pretty much shot and was just wondering if maybe installing that converter on a stock transmession helped end it? Anyways, I'm in need of a new gear box but really don't need a brake. It would be fun but this car is really more for DD and lite street action. I'm also on a budget but I don't want to cut to many courners with the 200-4R. My next gear box needs to last me atleast 3-4 years and able to click off a high eleven second pass every now and then.

Ps my mods are: TE 44, 42.5 injectors, Turbotweet chip, p&p stock heads, and 208/208 cam.

These are bad ass trans's ! Mine is still going strong looking for 10'S soon with it :)
Bump for you brian he is also one hell of a guy!!! Great service!!!

Another Happy Camper Here.................... :)

Get It With The T-brake, Someday You Will Want It,
I Got It On Mine, Never Used It Yet, But We Will.............

You Will Not Be Disappointed.

Do you have to get another shifter or can you mount the brake botton else where?

There is no button, it operates the same as a stageright just better. When you put the shifter in low the transbrake engages, when you shift to 2nd or third it releases & launches you in 1st gear. You will need to modify your shifter gate and brian sends you a template.

Thanks John for helping me out here! More new times? You are a racing junky!!

Actually, I now send a DC Tech shifter detent gate out with all new transmissions with a brake.

If someone is interested in this trans you can call me @ 586-306-9996.
I will be away from my computer for a couple days, so email will not work to contact me.

Thank you, Brian Hofer
