Hi

My dipstick has no level marks on it. It sticks 1 1/4in past the pan rail. Would i make a mark level with the pan rail?

Yes, pan rail or slightly higher. You need to make sure the level is where the filter is submerged with the car running and the transmission at operating temperature.
