I've seen these two mentioned numerous times on the site. What are the differences between the two? TR's came with the 2004r, correct?

People just write them down with the r and 4 mixed around a lot... same trans. Only thing to look for is one being a bfr and one not.

There is only the 200 4r. No sch thing as a 200r4

You mean I've been lied to ???

I was told my car had a 200 4 ARRRRGGGHHH.

Sorry I'm still stuck on speak like a pirate day.

Had no idea what getowned meant, but now...I take it BRF refers to the letters in the serial number plate on the extention housing? A quick search showed people mentioning BRF trans, but I had no idea what it meant until now. Thanks! Mine shows 169-871BRF0303

Yes if it is from an 86 or 87 turbo regal/gn. It will or would have had a br1, br2 or br3 painted on it and a pink or purple paint mark. It's governor would have the lighter weights and a spring on only one side.
