The next leg of the Optima Search for the Ultimate Street Car is in Bowling Green this weekend!

As a bonus, the SCCA is running a track day on the race track Saturday while the Optima group is on the Autocross pad. On Sunday, the Optima folks will be on the race track and doing Speed Stop on the autocross pad.

If you like cars, come out and watch!

First Day is in the books. Managed 9th out of 25 in GTV. I was fourth after three runs, but couldn't go any faster in the afternoon. Didn't see the D&E scores posted, so I don't know where I sit there.

Tomorrow is the Speed Stop and road course bit.

Here's the cool part: I'm firmly in third place in GTV for the year end points chase. If I can make a good showing at Barber in August, I might be able to clinch a bid to the invitational in Vegas. If everything goes right.

Updated video of my best lap, managed to finally salvage the GPS and accelerometer data from my GoPro. Come for the map, stay for the G-meter hitting 1.4 in turn 2
