CLINT WHAT WAS YOUR THOUGHT FOR CHANGING IT????IF I KNEW THAT I MAY THINK DIFFERENT,,,MUST BE A REASON BECAUSE IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE SAME

My thought is to decrease the chance of someone putting 5 gallons of race gas, octane booster, etc... In the tank PRIOR or AFTER the fill-up. As it stands now we are on the "honor code" when it comes to using ONLY pump gas and alky so the added fuel at fill up.... Also there might be a way to make sure the gas cap isn't removed after the fill-up, That is also in discussion. Another suggestion is to pit together which is a great idea.. While I can't speak for others on their reasoning for the added fuel on Saturday but I am sure other participants feel the same. Better to be proactive than reactive.

I would like to hear other racers thoughts as well

would love to pit together,i always want to,,,like we used to,,i will buy a tent for all if I need to,,,im looking into it now...I just hate running my car so low the first day,,,but then I also need the weight,,,i know what ultimate goal is,,,
I made weight every pass,,,i add weight as u all know,,,i need a full tank for the weight,,so it looks like I , I mean (tim) will have to pump out mine to fill up...not trying to be difficult I guess feels like the first time someone else wins there are all these rule changes proposed,,,maybe coincidence,,,maybe not...may have nothing to do with me but after being in class since 2015 I never have seen it like this,,
LETS PROPOSE GETTING A SET OF RULES AND STICKING TO THEM!!!
NOT RAISING YOUR HAND TO MAKE EXCEPTIONS

I get the possibility of there being " who knows what" in the tank before the fill up...
I try to be more trusting of the people in the class . IF someone wants to cheat , they will find a way. Short of getting 16 locking gas caps to keep someone from adding to the tank , I really don't know what to do. The whole pumping the tank out at the track is a pain in the ass... I drive a diesel so putting the gas in the truck isn't an option. Now I am traveling with 10 gallons of 93 in the back of my truck....
I will do whatever the class votes

Ron take a look below. As you can see there have been PLENTY of rule discussions over the past 5 years... so its hard for you to say you have never seen it like this unless you chose not to be involved in the discussion. Not a witch hunt OR a conspiracy...

2012 Question about the Rules:
https://turbobuick.com/threads/2012-rules.372618/

231 cubic inches in a gallon, coincidence? Just need like 30 feet of 3 inch hose through the frame rails to eat 10 gallons. Then keep a full tank of C16 separate.

Here's a suggestion........Do a race somewhere out West so I can run with you guys again. Such a fun bunch to be a part of ! BG and NC are a pretty long haul from Phoenix.

Tell you what, I'll buy dinner the night before qualifying.
