Intercooler testing by nazis

Our fellow board nazis are now in the process of testing the effectiveness of our new electric fan kit for this intercooler...

latest news from MPE: in TWO WEEKS OUR MOVE WILL BE FINALLY COMPLETED!!!! (praise da lod!!!!!);) Once the move is done, we are issuing the little brother of the 24 row, the 21 row unit.....watch out Funder fab!~ :o

I'm interested in purchasing this stock location intercooler. Does anyone have any pics of it installed? Including front pics. I would like to see how far it hangs down, etc.

Thanks

No Flames Intended please.

Gentlemen,
I rarely post anything in a negative context but I can't help myself on this one. I have the GMHTP magazine with the Mease IC test and thought it would be a good product to have, but, the magazine might as well be testing a bolt on "1969 ZL1" camaro. Because you will have better luck finding and buying the ZL1 Camaro than you will have finding and buying a Mease IC! Yes, I've been on the Phone, no luck! They would have been better off to test that Thunder Fab. IC. You can actually order one of them, or so I've been told. Now, with that being said, I'll gladly eat those words if someone on our board will tell us all where the Mease IC's are right now, who has them IN STOCK right now? (Not next week, right now). Signed - Frusterated:mad:

A question has been ask will it get an answer or go unanswered ?

this is a bias statment i just wish to hear the answer.:p :D

If you would like to order the unit via Nick Micale I can ship this week coming up, direct to you (drop ship) please advise.

Please understand that this intercooler is about as popular as the power plate at this time....every time one is in stock, its SOLD...within hours, minutes, GONE we build 50 units, they're shipped within 3-4 days ALL OF THEM....

Very Well

I shall pick up the phone Monday and try to call Nick, please forgive the red face, I understand about supply and demand. I believe they were in the $800 range, weren't they? Anyway, have a good evening - BB

vendors vendors vendors

Keith and Other Vendors, I and many others have gone through the frustrations dealing with many vendors. Many are out of business now because of problems. I've commented on some on this and other web sites. What makes a good vendor is honesty, good customer service, and with a good product, good delivery time. I have reported many to the GSCA and Richard did and does try to help correct these problems. Just one in particular vendor sent me 18 injectors to get a balanced set. Outstanding in my book! Anyone wanting any examples just PM me and the culprits will be identified. Any product is only as good as the suppliers delivery time. (my opinion) Sorry to soap box preach but just another view. Keep the Good Products Coming! Gene

Gene you're absolutely correct in all of your statements, we've gone through just about all the troubles a business could possibly encounter in the past two years, problem was that in one way or another the customer was stuck in the middle of our problems.

I have a Cottons monster FMIC and i don't see how a small SLIC could compare to one of these. I went from a stock IC to this thing and it turned my car into a rocket ship. Spool up is perfect with the 49 and stock d-5. Coolant temps never get over 185 even in the summer with a stock radiator

Is this seat-of-pants feel or do you have time slips to compare a before and after improvement?

I have changed from FM to stock location I/C a couple time on my consistant race car with a bigger turbo than a 49 and saw very little difference.

Stock I/C to any better one will make an improvement.

No time slips yet but the of all the mods i've made to the car the IC was the most noticeable power increase. I know a FM is not the most practical choice for a ta49 but i will be going to a te60 and 9/11 tc this spring so i should be able to reap the benefits from it even more. No regrets on it.. money well spent. I do agree tho for daily drivers or cars in the southern hot climate cars a SLIC is the way to go

I would have to go with nick here show power gains or loses,so that it proven i have on tape of my car with stock intercooler ,fm and stock loc. bgc 24 row and now keith's intercooler the car has went faster and more mph . This was all with MPE 24 row stock loc.,also I have better spool and the best top end power that the car has ever made.

finally my car doesn't heat up like it use to ,so quicker passes back to back and this is a big deal down south where we have to deal with temp. concerns.

old best was 11.50 @ 112.50mph
new best with the mpe 24 row posted in sig

The intercoolers are $899.95 and include shroud, uppipe, intercooler unit, 3 couplings needed to install, T bolt hose clamps, 3" inlet and 3" outlet, Billet bracketry, and all hardware needed for install.

Wait time on the intercooler ranges from a day to 2-3 weeks depending on their popularity that particular week....(this week sure seems like a popular one-lol)
