Dang it! My Vig (#6 pump - 3400 stall) shows 5.55% slip - UNLOCKED! Unless I'm running the numbers wrong... I'm trapping 115.6 MPH @ 5480 RPM's; 3.73 gear; 27.8" tire; 3rd gear (1.00).

Do you calculate it based on the MPH on the timeslip or the max MPH and RPM in Directscan ?
If I go by timeslip MPH of 124 I get 9%. If I go by DS the rpm is 5575 and MPH is 115 and that is almost 20% slippage. What would be the proper way to calculate it in this case ?

See my mph differs greatly on DS vs timeslip. I dunno why ? DS measures @ 18 frames/second you'd think it would be more accurate.
I was thinking my convertor is 3-400rpm too high. possibly more.
I have some DS files available...Anyone want to have a look ?
Sorry for trampling on your thread NEARING.

Clayton, are you running 28" tall tires? DS gets mph from the vss just like the speedometer, and this is only right for the stock height tires. You can adjust the tire height in ds to give the correct mph but you can't back-correct a stored run, you have to set it before recording.
