I just pulled a 87 complete engine. I have a video of it running $2500 for it. You should be fine with your transmission. BQ is a good tranny and a GN 8.5 rear end last a long time. Unless you have had some really high horse power or really high miles, you should be ok with the trans you have and rear.

Honestly who ever had the car before hand abuse the Hell out of it I can't even go wot with it the trans slipping. It's all bad lol
