How would 275-40-17 tires fit and look on 17X8 Wheels?

the TCI calculator says that 275-40-17 = 26 height X 11 width

thanks for the help guys

What brand are you looking at? I looked at Tirerack.com and found Sumitomo HTRZs in that size. They're pretty sticky for a road tire but they showed they were only 25.6" tall and recommend an 9" to 11" rim. Too squatty for my taste, but that's just me. My 17s are 27" tall. ;)

Story - Short version i was about to buy A set of wheels 2-18X8 2-18X9.5 and matching tires. this set Boss 338 18 Inch Gray Wheel 5x4.75 : eBay Motors (item 140396235484 end time May-11-10 15:34:22 PDT)
MY cuz says Before you buy I have a FREE set of 275-40-17 tires that are about 1 month old and less then 100 miles OFF of his WS6.

Because of this offer i started looking for wheels and found these wheels 17" American Racing Torqlite Wheel Chevy Impala 1959-69: eBay Motors (item 400103183839 end time Jun-12-10 10:55:12 PDT) in 17X8 and i wanted to see how it would match up especially since i am saving half the cost of a wheel and tire combo.
