275/50 Nittos on 7" GN Wheels?

Is this a good idea? I've run 275/60's on the GN wheels and the 50's look to be nearly the same width. Recommended rim width for both is 7.5-9.5. How will the narrower rim width affect their track performance? Thanks.

It worked fine for me, although with BFG dr's. They kinda buldged out since the rim was narrow, but it looked mean. You'll get more contact patch with a wider rim, but it will work on 7" rims.

Same here. BFG's on 7" T/R rims. Looks fantastic.

Running Nitto 275/50/15's on stock rims, no problem. They do rub if I have an adult in the back seat and make a sharp turn or find a dip in the road.

I run 275/50/15 on stock GN wheels. No rubbing, but I need to run 22# of air to keep the tires from wearing out in the middle - an 8" wheel would be mutch better in my opinion.
