Jeremy, what size rim with 4.5" back spacing were you using!!!
I need to get the widest slick on the car without using spacers to fit my GN !!!! Traction is a problem for me!!!!!!!!! I was just gonna get a set of 255-50-16 M/T street drag's for my front GTA rims, but dont think that's still gonna cut it at the track. So looking into buying the rite plain jane rim and slick to run. But no spacers!!!!!!!!!

I remember talking to you about your traction problem. The wheels I have are 7" wide with 4.5" backspacing. The tires are ET Streets 28x11.5. They aren't too bad as far as rubbing. I do know that you can't exactly go out cruising the streets hitting pott holes, fishtailing around corners, etc. but for racing purposes, they work well. I am aking everything off my car to put back to stock now, but I had lower control arms, 90/10 drag shocks, ATR swaybar, stock springs, no airbag. That works very well. Try that size tire and wheels combo!!! ----Jeremy

I have HR upper & lowers, koni adjustibles, ATR bar, air bags and new springs.
What Im looking to put together is just for the track, with no rubbing issues.
But only wanna buy this stuff once!!!!

I had 15x8 with 3.5 B.S. Weld Pro Stars with 28x10 Hoosiers slicks with no rubbing with airbags (wheel well lips need rolling)

I have seen 15x10 with 4.5" B.S. Weld Pro Stars with 28x10 slicks with no problems.

I could never run 15x10 4.5" B.S. on my car the inner part of the slick will rub. The 3.5" B.S. was rubbing on hard turns.

What have you tried in the past?

I had 28-9's with 4.5 back space and spacers. 9's arent enough, and spacers had to go. I figure if I dont find something off the board, I will buy the cheap rims from summit. Just still have to figure what works.

FWIW, I had 15x8 rims with 4" BS and 28x10.5 MT Et drags and the did not fit without a 1/4" spacer. The were just on the verge of needing the lip rolled but I guess i got lucky. It was very very close. So basicly what Im saying is that its not easy to fit a 28x10.5 slick in the stock wheel well of a GN. It can be done, but it will be very very close. I think that if I had air bags it would have been OK with the 4" BS. That was on my old 87 T. Cargo coils, monroe (pep boys) shocks and a stock sway bar. I didnt want to jack the car up in the back just to fit some tires and look like Joe Dirt. I sold that car and bought one with the frame notched and life is good. :)
