28.5x10.5 will they fit?

Tring to set up an outlaw race and need tires fast. Will a set of 28.5 x 10.5 slicks fit up under a TR? 5.0 Rusttang calling us out, need to let him see what a stock TR is all about.

would depend on the rim width & backspace, but I doubt it.....without some work

You will need to take out the fender trim and roll the lip.
They could rub on the frame a little my firestones did.
I was running them on a 8 inch wide with 3.5 bs.
A ten inch rim would probably work better. With the ten inch
rim you might have to notch the frame for the proper back spacing.

I wouldent suggest running a 28" tire on a stock TR, better go with some 26's

This one has been debated many many times.

These slicks do fit inside the unmodified wheel wells of my SS.

I can't speak for the Regal as my rear lips were cut before I even purchased the car. But, If I am bored while waiting for the City to put the curb back at the bottom of my driveway I'll pull them out of the basement for a test fit.

I have my 28x10.5s on a set of 60s 15x8 Vette steels... with about a 1/4" spacer.
