2nd Fastest T.R. from Deerpark wins Class race @ Buick Nationals

Tim Wendeberg ( who owns the 2nd fastest T.R. in DeerPark, Texas won 1st. Place in TAI (turbo alcohol injected) RACE @ the Buick Nationals in Bowling Green, Kentucky Saturday. The fastest T.R. in Deerpark was at home in the garage. . . things may have turned out differently if it would have gone ?? . . CONGRATS TIM!!!, . . . WAY TO GO.

I think Tim's car is a mid 10 sec car but fastest qualifier was JDsGNX and he went 9.997 @ nearly 135mph. Goes to show you don't need to be fastest to win, but it helps.

I ran 10.72 @ 124ish 3 times out of the 7 total runs that day, couldnt turn up boost any more(24-25 #) ran out of threads on rod, which was good cause I was getting knock every run. When we went to fill up for gas in the class daughter said " whats that noise" I told her its been doing it but never heard it that loud ,long story short when I got home jacked rear end up and when hit 2nd gear lots of bearing noise in rearend , I'm thinking bent axles knocked out bearings or after 108,000 stock axles and bearings just couldn't take it any more ! getting new axles and bearings and hope knock goes away ?
I was very lucky the way the cards fell

No kidding! Great story. I hope to take my daughter to the Nats in a 10sec car someday too. Glad you made it home ok though.
