I just fitted a 3.5" into my 87. Fitment was great. A little maneuvering and it was in there without having to modify anything.

The wideband bung looks to be in a good spot too so that it Clears the AC lines and strut tower.

I ordered mine from gbodyparts.com and it has the wastegate puck built into the flange.

3.5" is overkill. I have a mid 11 second GN at high elevation & found a great deal on a stainless 3.5 Terry Houston pipe, put it on, didn't drop any ET & the MPH that it picked up could have been atmospheric changes. I don't really care, if I ever do anything to the engine, maybe it'll help, if not, it'll still look cool:p

when i was at the Noble Buick shootout.. i saw plenty of 9 sec GN's running with 3 inch downpipes.. Even though i was using a 5inch DP.. LOL

Wow Phil, I thought you dropped off the face of the TR planet. How's the 78 T/A coming along?

How ya been John.. I get on here from time to time.. I still work on the TR's in my area, just dont own one anymore..
The TA is coming along fine, should be heading to the dyno soon.

i had to trim the inner fender also look at where your return lines are...very tight and close

Had to trim fenderwell on mine also. I also removed the screw holding down those hard lines and moved them further away from the downpipe and wrapped them in heat shield, just in case.
