It's funny, no one cares about cutting up GN's on here, but don't cut up a Cosworth vega? Personally I wouldn't either, but I wouldn't to a GN either. That's what Regals are for. ;)

Well, Cosworth Vega's are ALOT more rare than GN's/TR's are, now aren't they!! :)

Some say the more rare, the more desirable. :)

I think less than 4000 Cosworths were made.

EDIT: According to wikipedia, 3,508 Cosworths were made.

Seems like theres alot of interest here on the cosworth... Any trades? A 34000 mile 1 owner cosworth vega tor an 86-87 T type or GN. The vega is real nice !! I just put 1500.00 in wheels and tires on it ! 16" torque thrust II's . email me for pictures at keech57@aol.com

According to NADA classic car listings average retail is $10,905 in stock condition with a 4 speed so if you have a 5 speed it should be worth more.

somebody out there has to have a Turbo T that needs paint that wants to trade....

Wow! Extremely sweet looking car

If I wasn't so far away and so totally in love with my GN, I'd be all over that trade deal.

If you can't trade it, do the Weber carb swap as suggested to get the performance that this car is supposed to have!

You could always do an update on the FI and go digital or something to get the most out of it.

Well,
I picked up an 85 hot air motor today in good shape. I know... I wish it was an 86-87 but i bought it right and theres no room for an intercooler anyway. I need the room for an A/C condensor. I'm not trying to make 300+ HP. If it makes 250 hp in a 2600 pound vega it will do my daughter just fine. ( I hope... ) It has the coil pack and module but no wiring or ECM. Whats the easiest (and cheapest) way to get this motor running. A stock harness and ECM? thanks for your help. Steve

Don't wanna hi-jack the thread too much, Mark, but here's one more for ya.

I was told to go with the 86/87 ecm, coil pack and module. Also the harness since the difference is the coilpack and the electric fan. Casper's has a plate to bolt the module up to the stock bracket.

I haven't been on in awhile, but the swap is kinda simple as long as you can do some fab work.Cosworth Vegas are rare and mine is a Cosworth #2798.Mine was in poor to fair shape when i started.
