I see 3 GNs are scheduled to be auctioned off at the B-J in Scottsdale this year. I think we should take up a collection and bid high, surprise the announcers, let them finally begin to fawn over our cars like they do everything else, drive TR prices up. Whaddayasay?

ya great idea drive the prices up, so that someone who has always wanted one and wants to get in the hobby, does not have 30K -50k or whatever price your driving it too, now can never afford one, the prices of these cars have been going up on its own in the last couple of yrs.

Definately a BAD IDEA. I hate Barret Jackson   !!! It's all a big game that the rich play to obsolete us guys from the car scene. muscle Cars used to be affordable for people that wanted one. Now you can't buy a 69 Camaro 6cyl because they only made 500,000 so it's valuable. Look at the big picture, you don't ever want the prices of our cars to raise because then we'll never be able to afford to have one, let alone buy parts for one. Just my 2 cents. -----Jeremy

j/k guy, but if these cars are appreciating (are they?) I must say I'm pleased, and it's about time. I think to an extent they may be getting caught up in the vacuum of musclecar prices, which are, as you know, insane.

TRs being 6s and made in the 80s are probably niche cars. I don't know that they'll ever see the kinds of prices musclecars are enjoying - they've haven't appreciated as much as I'd like or think they should. Especially considering the way they perform and are optioned relative to some of the older stuff.

If anyone does go there and ends up on stage, do me a favor and slap that British guy upside the head if he starts rambling on about the fit and finish of the bonnett or trunk carpeting. :p :D

Actually he's pretty good with the foreign stuff and did a great show on Aston Martins for Speedchannel.

And he speaks English well. ;)

BareazzJackson will never set the price on GN's... thankfully.

I sold at B.J.

2 yrs ago I sold my 66 Hemi satellite, at Barrett Jackson, got way to much for it,( fools kept bidding, and ran it way beyond reserve) and I laughed all the way to the bank.
BJ will take a large commission, ( its based on sales price) and listing fee, based on when you want it to cross the stage. but all in all, buyers there expect the best, no trash, no second best, so the prices are somewhat high, but the old saying " a fool and his money are soon parted"
me, I buy else where, and sell there!

did you see some of those prices that GN's and TTA's sold at there events.. MAN, there were some good fines there.. i'm going to have to visit one of their events.. GNX's for Low 29's.. TTA with under 1000 miles going for $21,000...
