We have too many cars and the wife doesn't want to get rid of the Jag...lol
Year: 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Miles: 187,000 Highway Mostly
Were second owners. The first was a engineering student from Georgia Tech that was the original owner. He installed the 110v converter and the full stereo system.
It's never been wrecked and I just got back from a trip to Florida with it towing my friends Grady White 22'.
I've meticulously changed the oil every 3500 even though jeep recommends 4000 miles. About 15,000 miles ago we had the tranny rebuilt and I believe we still have all the documentation for it. If not I'll call my tranny shop and have them pull the records.
The good:
Condition, No Tears or Rips
Ride,
Sound System (wow!),
Towing Capacity (5.3L V8),
Mpg (22-24 highway on regular)
The bad:
It eats a little oil. Just have to keep a eye on it. I'd say 1/4 of a qt every 3,000 miles.
The tires will eventually need replacing.
Since it's a stock radio, there is a slight buzz when the lights are on and the radio volume is low.
The information readout blinks on and off when it's wet outside. (connection?)
I'm located in GA and could drive it to any bordering state.
Thank You,
Gabe
