There was some sort of wheelstand contest at VMP and from what I heard this guy (Mike Weisgerber) took the record with a 354.7ft wheelie with his blown BBC '70 Camaro...

I think some of the Buick guys like Richie Kibler, Cal Hartline, Dave Fiscus, Tony Gomes, and Manuel Bogosian could give this guy some good competition as I've seen all of them do some nice long wheelies:D

Man that was cool! Soulds like he got off the throttle, then back on it again to get the extra distance.

I've seen cal carry the fronts close to the 330 mark without setting it on the back bumper like that guy.

The real cool thing about Mike and his car is that he actually drives that beast on the streets around here!!

sweet....

did anyone here see the video of a gn pulling a huge wheelie? i don't think he carried it half that far, but still cool. aside from the sparks when it came down, hard.

There are two other vids of Cal's car doing wheelies (one is from a track rental at Moroso down here a while back and the other is from the first Bradenton event and I think Jim Testa had it on his website, but it's not on there anymore):(

Manuel Bogosian...

All great videos. I hope one day to have mine start on two wheels while at the track.

thanks for contributing to my overly full hard drive, filled with useless buick stuff :D i've only seen one of those before, the one with kent rudbeck pulling all 4 wheels. as much fun as that would be i hate to see it happen.

THANKS!

Baddest wheelie I've ever seen:

That is Scott Budisalich from here in town. That's a good one. The one I wish I could find was before the internet got so popular. It was Tim Lynch in his Mustang at the NMCA race at Huntsville AL in probably the mid to late 90's. He left the line and the front climbed slowly until the bumper cover touched the ground then it slowly came back down. He never lifted and the car went straight as possible, then right before the 1/8 mile scoreboard lit up the front tires touched back down smoking like when an airplane touches down. It was in the neighborhood of 500-600 feet on the back tires.

Dusty,
How about the wheelies ole Money Pledger was pulling in the yellow mustang last year in 6.0 h/u.. Got on the back bumper several times. He was definently the crowd pleaser at the big Outlaw Race in Huntsville. Wish someone had them on tape.

Yea, Money knows what he's doing with the tires in the air. He'll qualify on his first pass then he just puts on a show the last qualifying passes.

The videos that they sale at the big races at Huntsville have some video of his car. Some are even from a camera inside, in some of those videos it looks like he uses the N2O button to control his wheelie. Pretty cool anyway because he has a set of balls dangling from his rear bumper and when the car stands up it drags those nuts a couple hundred feet down the track.

Next time your up there for a big race look for the booth set up near the pit side restrooms. Most of the time the vendor set's up there, and he usually has some nice looking hotties in some short shorts to make sure you notice. He films a lot of the outlaw races around the country.
