Will this bigger hollow bar work with the V-4 IC? or will it hit?
How much weight savings when you replace the stock front sway with this one? Thanks.

I don't know if it will work with the V4, but it weighs about 10 to 11 lbs less than the stock 32mm bar.

I think its right at 23 or 24 lbs, I don't remember for sure. add about two more lbs for the end links and brackets if you take it off.

Conventional corner carver wisdom seems to indicate that the stock bar is the right size, was there ever a hollow 32mm f-body bar?

A hollow 36mm bar "feels" like a smaller bar. It's probably feels close to a 32mm bar. A hollow 32mm would feel like a solid 28mm or so bar

I am not necessarily disagreeing, but the Hotchkis hollow bar is about same size as g-body stock solid bar (1 & 1/4" vs 32mm). Their f-body bar is about same size (1 & 7/16") as 36mm bar. They also have a rear only bar for use with the stock 36mm bar ONLY, but they don't give the size and it may not be the same as in the kit with their 36mm front bar. I am dangerously assuming that the kit is for f-bodies with other than the 36mm front bar, and the rear only is for those with the 36mm bar from the factory.

I do know that they vary wall thickness to fine tune their bars. I was also under the impression that the hollow bars provide the same applicable characteristics as an equivalent solid bar. Don't know where I got that, though.

Again, I am not really disagreeing because I don't know for sure and it wouldn't be the first time I added 2+2 and got 5!

Comparing aftermarket bars to factory bars by size alone isn't always valid. An aftermarket bar of the same diameter as the stock bar could be 30-40% stiffer, if they heat treat the steel differently and use slightly shorter arms.

And a hollow bar may be 95% as stiff as a solid bar, but it won't be 100%

Do these F-body bars use the same end links and frame bushings as the GNs?

Hey guys, great discussion, but back to my original question...will it work with a V4 IC? does anyone have this combo??

Sorry about getting off topic. I asked this awhile back and didn't get an answer. I believe the brackets mount in the same place (although the bushing is different as in 36mm hole in it) and I think the stock bar goes straight across between the bushings, so if the 36mm is straight too it should fit nearly as well as the stock one, which wasn't all that well for me. As was pointed out in my post, it shouldn't be a big deal to modify the scoop (the only part of the V4 that should be in play) by enlarging the holes and maybe even installing something to cover any excess opening left over.
