3rd set ow windshield trim

i am on my 3rd set of windshield trim. i am driving and all of a sudden a thud and the trim blows off the car and the car behind me runs over the trim. why does this come off when it is on, it don't move and is tight to the glass and body?

Are you using oe clips? A lot look right but are subtle differences. I've researched and have found NAPA 665-1120 trim clips to be correct.

Air can get under the trim if you don't have the slide -in seal that goes tite on the glass.......BTDT.

Chuck also has a point about the seals . Hope you have them on the moldings.
