Gents,

I have a 4.1 V6 that I pulled out of my 62 Skylark. It was originally from an early 80s Regal. Motor is all there minus front accessories and timing cover. Would anyone be interested in this motor?

I can get casting #s and pics at request. Just need to drive up to my garage to get information.

As for price, I really dont know where to start or ask for it. If someone is interested, I will definitely work with them.

Let me know.

Thanks!

Chris,

I will find out what casting is for you either tonight or tomorrow. Where ya from?

not bad at all. Engine is located at my garage in New Stanton. It was a couple different colors. I bought it off of a guy in Derry about 2 years ago. The original owner who had it bought it without a motor and tranny. He stuck that 4.1 and a TH 350 in it and was gonna use it as a cruiser.

Underneath the flat black paint, it was red and white at one time but the original color was black.

that sounds like my old car i got in new york it was orig black then painted red. i sold 4 or 5 years ago. i had the orig motor from it but it was junk and cracked give me a call later with the casting number and a price

It may very well be. You remember who you sold it to? Was his name Ron? Yeah, 215s are known to go. I will give you a shout Chris.

Thanks,

Chris

Gents,

What's a motor like this worth? I gave a price to a couple people interested and havent heard anything back. I don't want to rip anyone off. I figured that it being a 291 block, unmolested, and having the rolled fillet crank, that it would be worth around $400 or so. I looked on the site and saw people selling just the block from anywhere between $250.00 to $350.00.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Chris

Well prices vary, I know I just found one for under 200 dollars but I have to take the motor out myself And that's the reason I haven't picked it up yet. Good thing they are in no hurry to get it out.

Go ahead and let him take it...... Need to spend the money on my TSM car more than a spare. Thanks though.
