Hi all.. I just picked up three 4.1L blocks at an estate sale, and I’m wondering what kind of fair market value these have? I don’t like to scrap good usable parts and would rather see them go to good use. Two of them are casting number 25514291, the third is 25506484. One is an assembled short block that looks like an old greasy original (hoping for standard bore!), the other two are bare blocks, and one additional crankshaft.

Before I put a bunch of time into cleaning these up and inspecting them, I just want to get an idea what they might be worth so I can budget my time accordingly. Thanks all!

As I posted over on v8, they have value to the right buyer. But if you want top dollar a trip through someone's vat, a magnaflux and measure it will be needed. They are cores at this point. Might get $250-500 for a good bare block with main caps. Maybe some more or some less. Those 4.1 cranks are usually decent but again, without being measured and check for cracks a buyer isn't going to pay top dollar or maybe they will.

That makes perfect sense. I didn’t get the sense these were rare or desirable enough to go through that extra effort like I would something like a 428CJ block or some other high pedigree muscle car block. I’m going to sell them as they are for whatever a fair and reasonable price is.
