What kind, if any performance gain going from a TE44 to PT54??? And would a 3K stall be enough for a 54?
Thanks

I went from 12.24@112mph with the 44 at 25psi.
to 11.6@116mph with the 54@22psi.
I had alot of issues that day,but ran mid-high 11's every pass.
I ran a 3500 stall, wich seemed to be just right.
from the 54,I switched to a te-45a.
I would recomend u pass on the 54 for the 45A.

Turbo Grey,
Would you do me a favor and tell me your impressions when you went to the 45a. I have one on the way and I am a little worried that it will be too big, but I've heard several people say it screams. Do you have to run big boost to have a fun street car with it or is 18psi on pump gas still fun? I have a 3200 9x11 converter, mods in sig. Thanks :)

The 45a pulled much harder than the 54.I only ran that turbo on the street with 18psi boost and pump gas, wich was plenty fun.
u wont be disapointed, and your conv should work well with that turbo.

Ive gone 124mph+@25psi with the 54 with a ****ty stock converter on a tired 100k+ mile engine. I had to murder it out of the hole if i wanted to build boost. It still went high 11's @120mph with a vacuum launch (2.0-2.1 60') and 93 octane and meth. I have no input on the 44 though. If you have converter and injector then go for the biggest turbo the converter will stand. Be prepared to run the boost up with the bigger turbos (25+psi) or you will be wasting your money and could get the same horsepower out of the smaller one with the lower boost (under 25psi) and better driveability. There is no benefit to running more than a 54 under 22psi on a 231ci engine that doesnt go over 5600rpm.
