a te-45a will easily take you to the mid 10's. I just put one up for sale in parts for sale. I used it in BG and went 10.61,10.51,10.52,10.49,10.42 with it on stock block.

Looking to run mid to high 10's with a new turbo, injectors, etc. What turbo/combo would you guys rec. for me? Looking to get any one of those turbos (te45a, 70, gt67..etc).

It costs a bit more $$ and some may say not wort the extra$$ but I reall like my Turbonetics BB T-70 P trim for a street car.

I spools WAY better than the PT63 I had and pulls as hard or harder on 15 psi than the 63 did on 19/20:D.

I also added Mease headers at the same time as the T-70 which I HIGHLY doubt helped the spool up.

I can foot brake about 5 MORE psi boost than before too.

I haven't had a chance to get it to the track yet and now I have to upgrade to a double pumper but when I do I see 10.50's and 130.x mph in the future, without much drama.

I'm sure the q trim 67 would make more hp but quick spool up makes for a fun street car.:D

Just my 2c.

1.54 60' on the 10.42 pass and that was about 28 PSI. 90º and 100% Humidity. The track was slippery and I could not get my usual 1.45s :D

you have the HR bar on there correct? ALso what kind of slicks?

No HR bar.... just a ATR hd bar, boxed lowers, soft 50K stock springs with airbags, bilsteins and MT 28x10.5 ET Drags.

ps come by the chatroom for a chat... I am sure access could be had thru the t6p.com website.

So basically the only difference between the 45a and the 67 is that the 45a is a large shaft, the 67 is a small shaft.

I asked John about the small shaft turbos, he said that the small shaft turbos are more than durable enough. Some people think that the small shaft on that turbo is weak, but there is not a problem!!

Double that. Remember, you will most likely want to go faster and the 70GTQ will deliver enough power to get you to the mid 9's and it still has the street manners it needs.

My brother is spinning one up with a Neil Chance converter that was supposed to be set up for 3000 stall. It may stall a little higher behind the motor he has in his car though. Agreed, 3400-3500 should get the job done.

What stall is needed for the 70 GTQ? 3800?

3800 may be a bit on low side. I would say around 4000.

My 70 BB was slow spooling with a 3500. Spools much better with 4000.
