I have a 99 k2500 suburban about 190k miles, 454/4l80e. Yestrday on the way to work I got off at my exit and the thing started shifting about 25-3500 rpm no matter the throttle position. On the way home the ses light came on still not shifting well. It did finally go into over drive when I was almost getting off the freeway. This am shifted pretty normal until it warmed up. Throwing a po122, scanner sez low voltage tps sensor. Heading over to get a new tps. Is this going to fix this or am I looking to do more and if so what should I look for? TIA

Pull the codes. I'll be there will be a slippage code. These trucks had a problem with the TCC valve.

Thanks very much for the suggestions. I got the new BWD tps and I don't know who designed the placement but one must at least loosen the throttle body to get the old one off and the new one on. Seems to have fixed it up. Soon all the sensors will have a lifetime warranty or at least until o'reilly's goes out of business.
