Has anyone looked into hooking a six speed 4L80E to our engines. I was looking at getting one built but not sure if they can be used or how to get it used. Any help is greatly appreciated.

They are using electronics to control and apply OD to "split" the gears.
In each gear they will apply OD and the gear ratios are split by the OD ratio.
I think the trans and controler are $6K+.

4L80`s have been done in certain high power apps. It is a big, HEAVY trans.

I'd love to see a full manual/no electronics 4L80 with a transbrake available... at a reasonable cost.

Being its a little over 4 grand isnt to bad if it can handle that horsepower level, just trying to figure out if there is a way toget it to bolt to our 3800 motor.

I have one, full manual 4L80E with a transbrake. Once I am happy with the way the transbrake functions, I'll release them. I have about 4 of them in cars at the moment. A couple are giving me fits.

I have a 4l80 setup that came out of John Nguyen's (Eticket) Pinks car that I bought. I'm changing it over to a TH400. In cludes everything you need except the RacePak guage system. This is John's description of the tansmission when I bought the car.
