I bought a few years ago.... a boost valve set for my 700R4... it has been in the closet in the pack since I bought it..... the 700R4 is long gone... now I have a GN..... about to rebuild it and was planning on using the boost valves. I thought they were .500/.296 ..... evidently they are the larger .570/.400 valves.

Is anybody running these? There seems to be a pile of people running the .500 boost valve... but not many running the .521.... or .570.... any particular reason?

I can tell you this..

We make them and sell ALOT of them. We are now making them at .555 instead of .570. The .400 are still made and we sell the hell out of them. Reason being, is no real difference in rise and stronger wall. The old ones were good but some people had a problem, so we looked at it again and came up with a better mousetrap.
So they are now .555 and I would have no reservation about using them in any 700r4 or 2004r.

and BTW .. The reason the .500 are so plentiful is they are made in Taiwan and can be bought for a nickle from the Taiwanese. That is why the major suppliers sell them. They make 600% on each one!
Another reason..
PRICE! Consumers do not want to spend the money for a USA quality built product.
