6 by 9 vs 4 by 10

Is it just me or does the 6 by 9 kick the butt out of a 4 by 10 when it comes to bass response and bass output and clarity?

my pioneer 6 by 9's sound great in my car, and for some reason my bass seems more solid now too and everything just sounds clearer
