Can you precision turbo guys answer the oil line question? Thanks

You can't use the stock oil line. The oil line comes in straight from the top instead of at a 90* angle like the stocker. The fitting in the turbo is not a standard 1/8 pipe fitting like the stocker so you will need the oil line kit.

That's correct it's a metric fitting and it has the correct restrictor built in as well.

Did you mean the fitting has to be specifically restricted for adequate oil flow? I am trying to avoid the oil line kit, and make my own to avoid the line hitting my turbo shield. I have seen some people having to cut a hole in the cover to use this line.

Has anyone made their own oil line out of braided hose and fittings? Any problems with this? Thanks

I believe the restriction fitting that you need (included with the turbo ) will connect to a -4 AN fitting/adapter. So all you would need is a -4 female AN elbow (90 or 120 degree) then appropriate line and fitting to connect to the brass block feed. Everything is available from Earl's Performance Plumbing.

I'm using a braided line with a 90* fitting at the turbo and it fits under the cover. :)

Sounds like your question has already been answered, but yes.... you can run your own -4 oil line, just be sure and run the supplied fitting into the turbo.

Ordered mine today from fullthrottle. I also ordered the coolant lines, but Im going to make my own oil line out of steel braided hose so it clears the turbo shroud. Cant wait to get it. Keep you guys posted.

I got the turbo and did the install today. Everything went on like a dream, except for the braided oil line. I ended up removing the brass block and tapped it to accomodate a -4 male fitting. I then purchased a -4 braided line, straight on one end and 90' on the turbo end. The 90' will not clear the turbo shield. Im thinking maybe a 120' would work???

Has anyone else attempted this, Im wanting to keep from cutting the top of the turbo shroud when you use the oil line kit that precision provides for this turbo.
