6293 head ?

if the only diff. between these heads and the 8445 is the end water passage, is there any reason it can't have the bridge welded in? I am asking because I have a set of these that were ported by Champion a few years back.

I think its just a earlier head like 1980-i think they flow coolant even better-i got one from champion too.

No need to weld in the bridge. The weak point is on the intake side. Ive successfully used unbridged heads at 25 psi. Use the correct gaskets for the application and re-torque.

Also on some castings accessory bolts may be standard not metric.

Same with some of the early 8445's. They will be 3/8-16 or 10-1.5.
