Just curious what stall speed you all are using with the 6776 turbo that has a .85 exhaust housing?

Are you happy with the stall selection you have?
What kind of foot brake boost can you build?
Those of you using a high stall do you still have a good top end charge?

I'm especially interested to hear from those of you using the PTC 9" converter.

TIA

When I had that turbo with a 16 blade stator ptc it would brake stall up to 10 psi. But that was with a .63 housing. Also I have a stroker, so it'll spool faster. Myself, Dusty and 87nat did lots of testing to nail down the right converter for that turbo. Pm Dusty, he knows exactly what converter you need. We did all the research with both the 9.5" n/l and the 10" l/u.

It really needs a converter that will go to 3200 at zero boost/vacuum if a 231 and stock compression ratio and journal bearing. Ill be ordering one for the exact combo your are inquiring about.

He said 2800, that's what I have now. Seems kinda low for such a large turbo with the big housing. Unless this PTC 9" stalls differently then the Art Carr 9", I doubt that will be enough to keep the motor lively feeling.
