Will the "694" servo get the job done or would it be best to get the largest one out there?

I just don't want to pay for something that isn't really needed.

TIA,

HOW

Get the large one,IT will help the trans live a longer life,But i still believe depending on HP that a good shift recalibration kit is a must also

If you don't have the largest stock servo, there are some great aftermarket ones that actually have more apply surface. PTS, Superior, & Sonnax are some of the makers of them.

Yes, you really should put in a valve body kit.

the best servo in terms of the most apply area transferred into band clamping pressure is the factory 112/134 200 3 speed servo.it provides additional clamping force over all the aftermarket types .pressure exerted thru the band apply pin to the band at wot with 200 psi line pressure is 907.47 psi.with the 694 servo it is 838.40 psi.the apply area for the 694 is 4.192" and for the 112 it is 4.537"therefore producing additional force. as far as a recalibration kit,it should be considered mandatory.some are better than others.read customer feedback on our site.it is dedicated to the kit.we also have a 200 page 2004r transmission manual that covers all the technical information on the unit at great length.do a search for it on this site.

Chris,

Are those numbers (112/134) the last 3 digits of the cover and piston?
