Any ideas on how to mount a set of these speakers ? I can't return them, and really don't want to.

Also, which wires are the positve ones for the rear speakers?
Mine weren't hooked up, so I can't tell which ones are which.

ps These are the Sony Xplod, and no they aren't hot. I use to work for Sony.

I have heard that there are some adapters to mount these to a 4x10 hole. also heard they do not sound too good mounted like this. rear speakers are wired like this....LR-yellow w/brn stripe LR+ brown w/yellow stripe RR- Light blue w/yellow stripe RR+Blue w/yellow stripe.

Tango, check the car audio section, probably be more of a question for in there. There are adaptors to mount these, audiowizzard would be the man to ask to be sure tho.

i've done this coversion in other cars, you need a spacer, something like a ring an inch high that lifts the speaker off the deck so the cone won't sit against the edges of speaker mount. Ask audio wizard:)

go to a best buy, circuit city, or local car audio shop and just tell them you need a 4x10 to 6x9 adapter for a gm g body. its a plastic spacer that offsets the speaker back a little so it'll clear the deck lid support rods. shouldn't cost more than about $10.
