Guys with 70 GTQ with .83 housings .....GN1s ported for the heads, roller cam 218 what stall do you run with a 400 tranny , switched turbos and my 400 with brake and the 3200-3300 conv really is a dog off the line or even the brake . After that once the boost comes up its real stong but the low end and lag flat out sucks and i think the motor is even loading with fuel compounding the problem due to this sloooooooow spool up , is the 4000 stall the way to go with this ? or bigger even ????
 
I would run that turbo with a .68 a/r huge difference, i have a .81 wont use it, way too big for a 231 motor.
 
that was another consideration ......, but the ar.s you mentioned are 4 bolts no ? This is a 3 bolt housing .
 
I don't have a 400, but the 3400- 3600 in my 200 is perfect. Smokes the tires from idle in about 2 car lenghts. Trick is leaning out the bottom end as much as poosible.
 
fix your fuel problem and there you have it. my gtq72 with a 3k stall is fine but was a pig untill i tunned it. or swap with a .63 exhaust and start there and have less tunning.
