I wouldn't dare throw out "what should it run #" you have wayyyyy more than what I have in Melissa's  plus a bigger turbo to push a lot more !!! obviously it "should" go in the 9's easy

What Do You Mean.....possible.....breakage,,,,i Always Thought The Faster You Go The More They Break

Louie thats all a given !!! I have a rabbits foot, horseshoe and other "luck" things all around BUT it doesn't matter .. when its time its time  :p maintenance and spare parts are a big part of the equation

I didnt mean to come off as a smart ass. I m currently building a complete 1987 GN for a customer. I mean its getting a new TSM style engine, trans, rear end roll bar,XFI.and so on.. By all means the car will have 9 sec potential. But at the times it leaves my place I know that the owner is not willing to do what it takes to wring out that type of performance. Just my .02 :)

I use a GTQ 71 turbo, with a .85 exhaust housing, RJC bleeder valve, and all the items in my signature and I like the street manners alot

Smaller turbo, smaller exhaust housing = sideways at almost any speed

Bigger turbo, larger exhaust housing, and a good tune= good street manners, slower to spool initially, but hold the hell on once the boost does jump up

Plus the top end charge is better with a larger exhaust housing

I put almost 700 street miles a month on my car and I am very happy with the street controlability

And I agree with the others, you may have the parts to get into the 10's, but do you have the balls to push the car or the wallet to repair the car once you get there

Good luck with your setup

Ray

Louie I am the resident "smartass" I don't think any of us took your post in a sarcastic view .. most people I know really don't push their cars all the time .. hell I wouldn't until we put in Julio's Alky system  now I feel like I have to drive the hell out of it every time :p

ok I am goin to do you a favor because I am a really nice guy... ready to put Melissa's new motor in BUT if ya want I can break yours in for ya .. Atco is opening soon

BALLS THATS NOT THE PROBLEM ,,I AM A BIG GUY AND I DONT KNOW IF THEY MAKE DIAPERS MY SIZE:biggrin:
